Physics 1A03 Lab Experience Survey - Winter 2024

Welcome to Physics 1A03 Hybrid Lab Survey

When the pandemic hit, the Physics 1A03 Team had to pivot the traditional in-person labs to an at-home version quickly. The result of this pivot was a set of home-labs performed with a lab kit which can be done easily on your own. When designing the lab kit labs, we wanted to make sure students could perform the home-labs independently with simple, affordable equipment while still learning about data analysis, graphing, and, of course, physics. Now that labs are back to in-person we want to take this opportunity to compare the different modalities both from an enjoyment and a learning perspective. This term you had the choice for each lab whether to complete the experiment in the lab room (in-person) or at-home. Please take a moment to reflect on the two different styles of labs with this short (< 5 minutes), anonymous survey.

We will first ask a few questions about your experience with the in-person labs, then the at-home labs you have performed, followed by some general questions. Your answers are valuable to us as a way to determine what works best, what does not work, and how we can do better.

In order to receive the 1.25% grade for the survey, you will be asked to submit a screenshot of the "thank you" message you receive when the survey has been submitted on Crowdmark. This does not indicate that you have answered any of the questions, just that you have submitted the survey. If you wish not to participate in the survey, you can submit a blank survey.
