Phased Increase of Research Activity Plan for Principal Investigators - Phase 1 General Information The University recognizes that research has continued in earnest since the restrictions were imposed and applauds the research community for continuing to advance their work remotely through electronic devices. Working from home remains the preference but, as some research can only be done in the field or on campus, the University has planned for a gradual, phased increase of research activity. Any return to campus or fieldwork during Phase 1 will require each PI to submit this plan for approval by their Chair and / or Associate Dean Research (ADR). Please note that each PI may have only one active plan at a time for each phase, and should include all members of the team that might want to return to campus or undertake fieldwork during Phase 1 in a single application. PIs may amend plans later by submitting a new application that contains information about all members of the team that might need to attend the campus or undertake fieldwork, should plans change. Please note though, that plans submitted to address different phases are considered separate. As such, a PI may need a Phase 0, Phase 1 and Phase 2 plan.
