McMaster Textbook Affordability Survey

Textbook and course material costs can be a significant barrier for undergraduate students. This survey is designed to understand how these costs affect you and to explore ways to make learning more affordable. For this survey, “course materials” include both textbook and non-textbook materials, such as required software, online platforms, lab manuals, and other required resources that aren’t freely available.

This survey is organized by McMaster’s Open Educational Resources team, in collaboration with the McMaster Students Union, and should only take a few minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary. You may choose to withdraw from the survey at any time before you submit your responses by clicking the “Exit and clear survey".

If you have any questions, please contact us at oer@mcmaster.ca.

Your responses are anonymous and will help support efforts to increase the affordability of course materials.
