Preamble and Consent

In our efforts to fulfill McMaster’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusivity, you are invited to complete McMaster's confidential diversity survey, as part of the application process. The diversity of our community is at the core of our innovation and creativity and strengthens our research and teaching excellence.  As such, we welcome candidates who share our commitment to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion.

In keeping with our commitment to advancing employment equity, we particularly welcome applications from women, persons with disabilities, First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, racialized persons (members of visible minorities), and LGBTQ+ identified persons. The survey is voluntary and will take approximately two minutes to complete. Information collected will support our efforts to ensure a diverse applicant pool and to promote equity and inclusion in our hiring practices.

Responses are confidential and will be analyzed and reported in an aggregate form for employment equity purposes.
